Speaking in his constituency, the outspoken legislator said defiant lawmakers in Parliament would be removed from their positions both in the National Assembly and in the Senate.

Kamket held the view that the lawmakers were sabotaging the president's agenda, and should therefore be dealt with going forward.

"When we reopen Parliament, I want to assure the president that he should not be worried as he has enough support and men like me. Those who have been provoking the president should now that they are on their own and when we open parliament, I will be given the chairmanship of something, and those who have been provoking the president will be removed. Wale wakorofi wamekuwa wakichokoza rais, wote fagia)," Kamket said.

There have been calls for allies of Deputy President William Ruto holding positions in Parliament to be removed from those plum positions.

Parliament is set to be reopened this week, setting the stage for dramatic political wars in the houses of parliament.
