The county boss says that the politicians, using groups of rowdy youths, have been disrupting her rallies, in a bid to humiliate her over her political stand.

She further complains that despite being heckled, local administrators have been reluctant to arrest the goons being used during such incidences.

She says that the same is the doing of politicians who are unhappy with her support for President Uhuru Kenyatta, adding that other pro-Uhuru politicians have also been treated to the same.

"That's why they have painted a picture that the ground has shifted and Central region is no more in support of President Uhuru Kenyatta or any person who supports the President," she said at Kiamutugu Secondary School in Gichugu constituency on Tuesday.

Waiguru who was accompanied by her deputy Peter Ndambiri said that the goons are well known, but withheld the names of the politicians she claims are funding them.

In response, County Commissioner Jim Njoka has ordered the arrest of all goons and those financing their activities.

Waiguru is among the few elected leaders from the region who have remained behind the president, with the majority appearing to have decamped to Deputy President William Ruto's camp.
