Don't spend much money buying a birthday cake when you can make one at home. Ensure you have all the ingredients and you will be good to go.
Here is the procedure on how to easily go about it;
Cake ingredients
3 eggs 1 + 1/2 cups of milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup of unsalted butter at room temperature
2 +1/4 cups of flour
1+1/2 cups of sugar
Buttercream icing ingredients
4-8 tablespoons of milk
6 cups of confection's sugar
2 sticks of butter at room temperature
4 teaspoons of butter flavouring can
Cake procedure
1. Preheat an oven to 350°f followed with spraying a 9-inch cake pan with flour and cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl, mix sugar and butter with an electric mixer.
3. Add flour, salt and baking powder and mix them in a bowl. In another bowl, stir vanilla, eggs and milk.
4. On the creamed butter, add half of the dry and wet mixture and mix them. Incorporate the remaining mixture and still until it becomes smooth and blended.
5. If you need to add some sprinkles into the batter, then do it gently with a spoon.
6. Apportion the batter equally among the cake pans.
7. If you want to add sprinkles, gently stir them using a spoon in after batter is fully blended.
Bake for at least 35 minutes. Remove the cake from the oven and allow to cool for another 10 minutes.
Cream procedure
1. Cream the butter and a cup of confection's sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl. Make sure you add the butter flavouring, remaining sugar and half of the milk then stir thoroughly until it becomes creamy and fluffy.
2. Pour the cream on the cake and there you have it.
