Gospel artist Jimmy Gait has asked Kenyans to stand with him in prayers.
The singer is currently receiving treatment at the BLK Hospital in New Delhi, India, where doctors are expected to ascertain what has been troubling his throat.
He has however asked individuals spreading claims that he is suffering from throat cancer to stop.
Jimmy Gait said that the throat cancer allegations are negatively affecting his family, close friends and his fans.
In a video shared on YouTube on Friday, the singer said he is in India for medication after he failed to get the same here in Kenya.
According to the singer, he has done at least five tests and is waiting for results that will reveal what he has been suffering from.
"I have been having a throat problem quite for along time and I was not able to get a cure back at home. I have been subjected to a lot of tests and I thank God they are going pretty well and am waiting for the results...continue praying for me. I will really appeal to anybody spreading those kinds of rumours (throat cancer) to stop, it is not right to spread such kind of rumours," said Jimmy Gait.
