He says that the President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga truce has caused more harm in the parliament, where things are now completely mixed up.

In parliament, he said on Wednesday, the truce has brought opposition lawmakers closer to the government, to an extent that they are now defending the executive's ideologies.

He added that on the other hand, politicians who were initially on the government side have taken the opposing side, giving an image of an exchange of roles in the legislative houses.

"In the parliament, the opposition is the new government while the government allies MPs are the ones coming up to oppose. This mixup of parties is what's troubling politicians (Bungeni upinzani ndio serikali na wale wa serikali sasa ndio wanatoa makucha kupinga. Hii mambo ya kuchangaya vyama ndio inaletea wanasiasa shida)," he said.

He made the remarks on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi on Wednesday night.

He said that the handshake has also placed Jubilee members in a hard situation where they are finding themselves on the same side with Raila, whom they had made it a habit to insult.

The KANU lawmaker termed this the reason behind the opposition among the Jubilee members to the handshake, especially allies of Deputy President William Ruto.

According to Poghisio, the group is as well bitter that a huge chunk of development is appearing to be heading towards opposition bedrocks, while its side appears sidelined.

"They are now seeing the milk being shared among children who have been outside. They are now unable to insult the man they are used to abusing (Hawa wanaona maziwa inagawanyiwa watoto ambao wamekuwa nje. Wanaona yule ambaye wamezoea kumtusi sasa hawawezi)," he added.
