Speaking when he hosted the DP in his county in May, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) county boss said that he will henceforth support Ruto.

Nanok was on Sunday part of the delegation that accompanied the DP to Nairobi, where they attended a church service at the St Luke's PCEA church in Embakasi East.

The county boss was on Thursday kicked out of the ODM party leadership league, after the party resolved to hand over his vice chair seat to Loima MP Jeremiah Lemorukai.

In his response on Friday, Nanok condemned the ouster, arguing that he has no plans of exiting the party until the lapse of his second and last term in 2022, remarks he reiterated on Sunday.

"I don’t belong to Jubilee but I’ll stand in principle with those who are serious about transforming Kenya,” said Nanok as quoted by People Daily.

At the function, Ruto noted that the Jubilee Party will soon hold a meeting.

“We must, therefore, organise ourselves around national political parties with issues, programmes and policies,” said the DP.

Other leaders who attended the event include Langata MP Nixon Korir, Kimani Ichung'wah (Kikuyu), Caleb Kositany (Soy) and Brighton Yegon (Konoin).

The Raila Odinga-led ODM party is yet to take any disciplinary measures on the county chief, as it has done to Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa who has also been dancing to Ruto's tune.
