Speaking during an interview with K24, Khalwale said that the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator spoke on behalf of millions of Kenyans whose voices are not heard. He noted that the senator was right to question why the program was skewed before he was shouted down.

"@kipmurkomen did extremely well. He spoke for many Kenyans," he said.

Khalwale also took a swipe at Suna East MP Junet Mohammed for the way he ran the program.

"Where did Junet come from? How did he get the chance of becoming master of ceremony for a state function? They got it wrong right from the word go," he said.

Murkomen lamented that the program had been tailored to favour the allies of the ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga. He asked Junet, who was Master of Ceremony not to sideline some leaders during the event.

“Today’s programme has been skewed to exclude other people from expressing their views,” he claimed.

On the report, Khalwale said that the Jubilee Party has decided to support it as a way of forgetting the historical and electoral injustices Kenyans have suffered over the years.

"What the Jubilee Party leader was doing is letting bygones be bygones," he added.

While launching the report, President Uhuru Kenyatta called for sobriety while discussing the same.
