Speaking during the release of the results at Mitihani House on Wednesday, Macharia applauded teachers for displaying utmost professionalism,  while supervising and invigilating the examination.

She, however, noted that the commission will deal with any examination malpractice involving teachers once it reaches them.

"Overall in this year national exams, we recorded the least number of reported cases of teachers accused of engaging in regularities... And so as I stand here, I have not received any case of teachers who were involved in malpractice. We shall deal with any case after KNEC does the investigations, and they are minimal," Nancy Macharia said as reported by Citizen TV.

She cautioned private schools against employing teachers not registered with TSC, adding that the ministry should take firm action against school found guilty.

"I wish to caution proprietors of private schools against recruiting staff who are not registered with the TSC. Indeed, most of the cases we are recording now affect private schools. I appeal to the ministry of education to take firm action against the proprietors of private schools that flaunt KNEC regulations, and employ teachers who are not registered with Teachers Service Commission," she added.
