South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro has insisted that no presidential candidate can beat Deputy President William Ruto in 2022 race to State House.
Speaking on Sunday at Tabaka, Osoro said a section of Gusii leaders who are backing Interior CS Fred Matiang'i to run for presidency in 2022 are not sincere.
"No one is going to cheat us that Matiang'i can beat DP Ruto to win presidency. Those supporting Matiang'i need to be sincere and tell the truth that he (Matiang'i) does not have support for him sail through in 2022 polls," said the vocal legislator.
According to the first term MP, Gusii community should rally behind DP Ruto whose chances to win presidency in 2022 are high.
"Matiang'i has minimal chances of winning presidency compared to DP Ruto who has a good track record.
"Ruto has been traversing Gusii region spearheading development and therefore, as a community we should align ourselves to be in his government," he noted.
