Speaking on Friday in Kilifi at the start of the Team Embrace coastal tour, the county boss called on those compiling the BBI report to include the creation of 3 posts in the executive in their recommendations.

The former cabinet secretary contended that the creation of the posts would help create an inclusive government.

"We are requesting those compiling the BBI report, and we are supporting them, to add three more positions so that all tribes can feel included, not just two tribes  (Tunaomba yakwamba wenye wanaandika makaratasi ya BBI, kwa sababu tunawaunga mikono waongeze viti zingine tatu ndio nchi ikuwe inakuwa, watu wa nchi wakuwe pale juu kusikuwe tu na mababila mbili), " the Kirinyaga governor said.

Team Embrace, a political grouping strongly in support of the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM leader Raila Odinga, recommended weeks ago for the expansion of the executive in its submissions to the BBI committee.

The BBI committee is in the process of compiling a report which will be handed over to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.

A referendum based on the BBI recommendations is expected to follow thereafter.

Ruto-backing politicians have, by and large, disparaged the initiative as a cynical ploy to create more positions for individuals.
