Political analyst and city lawyer Danstan Omari says ODM leader Raila Odinga will not give chances ahead of Kibra by-election scheduled for November.
The ODM leader has been coordinating the campaigns for Imran Okoth personally, an indication that he's not ready to lose the seat.
And Mr Omari now says Kibra is Raila's tough which he can't afford to lose. Omari claims that should he lose, he will be politically done despite years of success.
“Kibra is Raila, Raila is Kibra. Raila does not have constituency called Bondo, it is Oburu’s. Raila believes in representing a national constituency in Nairobi.
"Originally Raila was seen as a Luo, he had come to Kibera to cut a national niche. If Ruto succeeds to take the seat through Mariga, he would have destroyed the enigma concept Raila is enjoying,” Omari said.
But on Wednesday, Mr Odinga who participated in the fundraiser for ODM candidate Imran Okoth, insisted that despite the intensity, Ruto's team will not succeed.
According to him, Kibra people possesses high quality of loyalty and that they are free to take money from Ruto's camp before polls.
"We started here in Kibra and some of us are old now. But we have nurtured enough youths. I didn't want to come but I saw it important to join MPs in fulfilling this course," he said.
"When I will blow the trumpet, he will fall. For now let people eat their money. Let them dig the grave and we shall see who will fall inside," he added.
While DP William Ruto is backing McDonald Mariga, Musalia Mudavadi has endorsed Raila's former aide Eliud Owalo. Moses Wetangula is backing Eng Ramadhan Khamisi.
