Speaking on Tuesday, the senator claimed the president is presiding over a political cabinet which has been unable to deliver, and should consider making changes.

He stressed on the need for both President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to bring on board focused people to can deliver without following the political wave.

"I think President Kenyatta and DP Ruto should disband the cabinet. I cannot think of a CS who isn’t politically active," he said on NTV's AM Live, Tuesday.

He further wondered why the relevant Cabinet Secretary is yet to speak on the Sunday incident where a vehicle plunged into the Indian Ocean at Likoni, killing its occupants.

He found it questionable that the issue has been solely left in the hands of Kenya Ferry Services (KFS) Managing Director Bakari Gowa.

He also took jabs at Mr Gowa, terming him a blabbering and incompetent man, under whose watch Kenyans cannot consider themselves safe, with regards to ferry transport.

"I am wondering if we still have a cabinet in this country. This isn't something that should be left to that blabbering man. (KFS MD). How can we be confident if that man has been left to secure the safety of Kenyans? he added.
