According to Wich-Lum Chief  in Bondo Edwin Juma, the 16-year-old girl went missing from her parents home in Asembo a day to the reopening of schools, only to be found at the man's home.

He said that the girl who has been cohabiting with the rider identified as Kevin Ochieng' was spotted by curious neighbours who in turn informed the police.

According to the administrator, the law enforcers raided the house and arrested the girl, but failed to arrest the rider who had already escaped.

He said that the girl was then handed over to police in Asembo, while a manhunt has been launched for the rider who has since gone into hiding.

The administrator also warned locals against getting caught up in such situations, cautioning them against taking advantage of young school girls.

The county has been on the spotlight for the wrong reasons lately, recording many such incidents pitting minors, including defilements and sexual assaults.

The latest case was reported in Ukwala in June, where a man was arrested for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old class six girl after luring her to his house.
