ODM leader Raila Odinga has said that Kenya can be made great again.
Speaking during the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) rally in Kitui on Saturday, Raila said that the recommendations in the BBI report mark the beginning of a new era.
The African Union Special Envoy noted that through the ideologies in the report, the country can realize better governance.
He said that electoral malpractices, corruption and historical injustices are among the issues that the report seeks to address.
"Kenya can be great. You don't have to sit at the banks of Athi and Tana like those who sat on the banks of the river of Babylon and wept when they remembered Zion," Raia said, according to a tweet by Standard.
The former Prime Minister also said that Kenya will no longer suffer because of tribalism and poverty once the BBI report has been fully implemented.
He, however, warned those who have not declared their stand on the BBI report saying that they will be shocked once the effects start being felt in the country.
"The BBI train is saving Kenyans from poverty to richness, tribalism to unity. if you have been left outside woe unto you. (Gari ya moshi ambayo inaitwa BBI inaendelea kutoa Wakenya kwenye ufukara hadi kwa utajiri, ukabila hadi umoja... Kama umebaki nje, shauri yako #BBIInKitui)" Raila said, in a video shared on Twitter.
