Speaking during the Jamhuri Day celebrations at the Nyayo Stadium on Thursday, Uhuru urged politicians to concentrate on leadership and shelve their professions once elected.

This was seen as a jibe at lawmakers who have been seen defending governors accused of stealing public resources, the latest case being that of Nairobi governor Mike Sonko.

He said that their actions amount to double interest, a remark that has irked Abduba Dida, who is of the opinion that Uhuru cannot claim to be clean.

He suggested that the president has used his position to defend his interest in the milk sector, and, therefore, lacks the moral authority to speak about conflict of interest.

"You are the president. Your family has monopolized milk industry. The same government that you head has even put in place laws to protect this monopoly. I don't think you are the right person to lecture the country on "conflict of interest". Ama namna gani my frens?," Abduba Dida tweeted, Thursday.

Uhuru's remarks have been translated as aimed at Senators Kipchumba Murkomen (Elgeyo Marakwet), Mutula Kilonzo (Makueni) and Makueni MP Dan Maanzo who recently represented Sonko.
