Police officers in Kisii County are still hunting down a middle aged woman who allegedly stabbed a 46-year-old woman to death in broad daylight last week Friday at Nyamaiya village in South Mugirango Constituency.
Area chief Richard Omboga confirmed that the suspect is still at large but police officers are still pursuing her.
"The suspect Ann Nyachoka went disappeared after stabbing the deceased Pacifica Bitengo. Police officers are still hunting down the suspect," he said on Wednesday as reported by Egesa FM.
The chief appealed to members of the public to report to police anytime they will spot the suspect in the village.
Kisii County Police Commander Martin Kibet also confirmed that the search has been extended to Migori, Narok, Kericho and Bomet counties.
"Our officers have extended the search to 4 counties were we suspect the woman might have gone into hiding. The public should be patient as police do everything possible to nab the killer," said Kibet.
Kibet warned women against fighting over men saying once the suspect will be arrested, she will be sent to jail to serve as an example to the rest.
