Political analyst Edward Kisiang'ani has accused former Prime Minister Raila Odinga of double standards.
In a tweet Sunday, the commentator questioned Raila's praises on Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru when he attended her wedding in Kirinyaga on Saturday.
He recalled how the ODM leader bashed Waiguru during her days as the Devolution Cabinet Secretary, accusing her of embezzling public funds.
Raila at some point accused Waiguru of stealing hundreds of millions of shillings from the National Youth Service (NYS), which saw her sue him for defamation.
Kisiang'ani is now accusing Raila of hypocrisy with regards to his sudden change of heart towards the governor, terming his actions a show of pure political irrationality.
"A few years back Raila accused CS Waiguru of embezzling NYS funds. His supporters called Waiguru all sorts of names. Now that RAO has embraced Waiguru his supporters have done an about turn to praise the Governor. Political irrationality and hypocrisy in its finest form!" he wrote.
The two leaders have since buried the hatchet, which has seen Waiguru even visit Raila at his Capitol Hill offices, a good relationship that began after Raila's 2018 truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Waiguru has since withdrawn the defamation suit against Raila.
