According to the area, MCA Peter Chomba calm is now being experienced in the area following the story.

“I want to thank Hivisasa for highlighting the story since as I am talking places such as West Indies, Shauri Yako, Mwenderi, Huruma, Kingongo, Mwanzo, and Beckon estate security has largely improved,” said the Huruma ward MCA.

Chomba who spoke to the press in Eldoret town on Wednesday thanked the Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Adbirisack Jaldesa for increasing patrol in the ward.

He reiterated that those areas were worse and a day could not pass without a house being broken into or someone robbed on the way.

“We are however still requesting the County Commissioner to construct a police station at Shau Yako estate since we have a one acres piece of land where it can be built. This reduces insecurity by 100 percent,” added Chomba.

Chomba further urged the County commissioner to now put more efforts in the sale of illegal alcohol and drugs noting that they are people who are known and are usually arrested and released in less than an hour.

He noted that stern action should be taken against them to stop the sale of illegal drugs and alcohol for the menace to stop.
