Renowned rapper Kennedy Ombima alias King Kaka has found himself on the receiving end after Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) denied summoning him.
King Kaka on Tuesday was at DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road claiming he had been instructed to report at the State agency for questioning.
However, the rapper, who was accompanied by his supporters and activists, was turned away, with DCI taking to social media to dismiss his claims.
"We wish to condemn strongly false information being peddled through social media to the effect that one Kennedy Ombima alias King Kaka has been summoned. Nobody from DCI has summoned him," read a statement on DCI official Twitter handle.
Reacting to the development, NASA Chief Executive Officer Norman Magaya mocked the rapper and accused him of faking summon.
"This is what you are tweeting in the name of “I stand with (King Kaka)“. Fake assassination claims !!! Fake DCI summons .... fake all the way! Stop turning young boys into babies," Magaya tweeted.
Renowned bloggers Abraham Mohammed Mutai and Robert Alai also dismissed King Kaka's claims and accused him of chasing clout.
"King Kaka trying to launch his political career. Dead on arrival. Very dishonest man. A charlatan and a liar. Desperate for attention," Mutai tweeted.
King Kaka has been trending since Saturday when he released 'Wanjinga Nyinyi' song which is against corruption and slams Kenyans for making wrong choices during elections.
