Kieleweke faction could be plotting to impeach Deputy President William Ruto, a political analyst has claimed.
Daisy Maritim claims that the recent meeting in parliament which was convened by the National Assembly Minority Whip Junet Mohamed was a wider plot to impeach Ruto.
Dozens of MPs allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga accused Ruto of sabotage, arguing that Tangatanga brigade is keen to kick out President Kenyatta.
But Maritim says the reverse could be true, arguing that the team was only unleashing its cards for the near future.
"Junet Mohamed told us that Kipchumba Murkomen and the Tangatanga MPs are plotting to impeach President Uhuru Kenyatta. This confirms that Junet and the Kieleweke MPs are plotting to impeach the Deputy President," the political analyst said.
"If the Tangatanga association were really plotting the President’s impeachment in Naivasha, Junet would have exposed the plot more explicitly. Like a good reporter, he would have given us a blow by blow of the ‘who’, the ‘why’, the ‘what’ ‘and the ‘when’," Maritim added.
Ruto has been on the receiving end with a section of Uhuru's allies often accusing him of frustrating the government from within.
