While presenting himself as a sober politician, Sakaja has won the hearts of many, who view him as a gentleman of Kenya's political arena.

As opposed to the combative brand of politics that defines Nairobi's political space, Sakaja has chosen a different route to build his career: being a level-headed man who approaches issues with sobriety. This is a complete departure from politicians of his age who are ready for anything to have their way.

In the run to the 2007 general election, Sakaja was just a little-known young man struggling for a living just like any other university graduate in the country today. Then came his big break.

At a time when President Mwai Kibaki was facing a political scare following the emergence of the ODM's "Pentagon" that took a country by storm, Sakaja was one of the young men and women who emerged as Kibaki's campaigners.

Starting off as a driver, the University of Nairobi-trained actuary would later rise through the ranks until President Kibaki was declared the winner of that controversial election. From there, Sakaja has never looked back.

As the then Deputy Prime Minister was assembling his political machinery in the run to the 2013 election, Sakaja who was already an influential member in the political deal-making tables took over the leadership of The National Alliance ( TNA) Party.  At just 27 years, he became the youngest chairman of a political party in the world.

Uhuru would go on to win the 2013 Presidential election. As for Sakaja, that officially marked the beginning of his brilliant political career as he was nominated to the National Assembly where he honed his political skills. With many bills sponsored, he became a champion of the youth.

As he won the Nairobi senatorial seat in 2017, Sakaja proved that his political career is simply unstoppable. And his county finds itself in leadership crisis, all eyes are on Sakaja. Is ye the man to save Nairobi?
