The lawmaker is accused of awarding contracts to his two children, which is against Procurement Laws.

Documents seen by Citizen Digital show that the two children of the lawmaker are among the beneficiaries of the tender at the constituency and county level.

One of the companies linked to Aisha Jumwa's children is Kaseru Construction Ltd.

“The company was registered on January 15, 2014. The registered directors are Karisa Kalume Karisa and Selina Selume Sidi who are son and daughter to Hon. Aisha Jumwa,” the document from the DCI reads in part as quoted by Citizen Digital.

Detectives claim that Kilifi County paid Kaseru Ltd  Sh64.7 million through the account in Equity bank. The amount was paid after the company secured several tenders from the county government.

The documents also show that the lawmaker was paid Sh3 million after the deal sailed through. The records also indicated that her Likoni counterpart Mishi Juma Hamisi was also paid a similar amount.

Detectives from the Economic and Commercial Crimes Unit are also investigating transactions of millions in an account operated by Jumwa’s son Karisa.

The transactions in the Cooperative Bank account reportedly total up to Sh46 million.

The lawmaker, who is also facing murder charges has, however, denied all the charges levelled against her.

She insists that the allegations are a political witch hunt and attributes her woes to her allegiance to Deputy President William Ruto.
