Former Harambee Stars captain Dennis Oliech has declared his intention to continue playing, following last month’s cancellation of his contract by Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Gor Mahia.
The forward’s contract was terminated, due to what Gor Mahia’s leadership termed as gross misconduct.
Oliech now says he has fully recovered from an injury he was nursing, and he is ready to sign for any top KPL side, with Bandari FC and moneybags Wazito FC on his mind.
“I'm ready to continue playing now. I can see teams like Wazito and Bandari struggling to score and I'm ready if they show interest in my services. Maybe they fear my demands but I'm ready to listen to their offers if they are interested,” he told Nation Sport.
Despite singing more than 10 new players ahead of the 2019/20 KPL season, Wazito FC squad continues to struggle upfront with the team having scored only one goal in the first two matches of the season. The Club is owned by Dubai based Swedish businessman Ricardo Badoer.
On the other hand, Bandari FC owned by the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) failed to score in the first match of the season against Mathare United last month, as the game ended 0-0.
Statistics indicate that the Mombasa based side has scored only three goals in the last five matches.
