South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro said the former Prime Minister's time in Kenyan politics is up and therefore, he should consider retiring before 2022.

"Raila can not impose himself on Kenyans in 2022. Let him go home in peace to avoid a political humiliation in 2022 because he can not stand on Deputy President William Ruto's way," said the vocal first term MP.

Osoro appealed to the ODM party leader to announce his exit from active politics before 2022, arguing that he will never be the president in Kenya.

The Kenya National Congress (KNC) Party allied lawmaker wondered why Raila is still in politics with his old age.

"His (Raila's) age mates are enjoying retirement money, why is he not ready to go on retirement. By all means DP Ruto will beat him in 2022 should he fail to retire before 2022 polls. Kenyans are not fools to elect Raila as president," he stated.

He was speaking on Sunday when he led Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and 10 MPs for a combined fund drive in Chitago ward in aid of construction of two churches; Eternity Church in Mogenda and Genesis Church in Tabaka.
