Reigning Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia has terminated the contract of veteran striker Dennis Oliech.
The striker’s contract was ended at the club after he allegedly engaged in cases of misconduct.
A letter of the termination of the contract, which was seen by Citizen Digital, indicates that Oliech is no longer part of the team following his misbehaviour.
It accused the player of missing training without permission and disagreeing with other members of the team.
“The player’s poor performance on the pitch and serial absence from training without permission from the club have led to his premature ouster from the record Kenyan champions, just months into his two-year deal," read part of the letter quoted by Citizen Digital.
The club confirmed the news through its official Twitter club.
It tweeted; "Gor Mahia and Dennis Oliech part ways. The club terminated his contract over misconduct cases."
The club is said to had tried to reach out to the player over the termination of the contract but the efforts failed to bear fruits.
K'Ogalo's management also said that it had written a formal letter to the player asking him to end his contract but he refused to heed to the same despite his poor performance.
It said that Oliech has proven beyond doubt that he cannot be relied upon as far as working for the team is concerned.
