In the photo, the billionaire is seen seated outside his palatial home in Nyali while relaxing when police have been waiting for him to land before he is arrested over drug trafficking claims.

DCI Sources have dismissed claims that the businessman is back, saying that it is a hoax aimed at confusing the members of the public on his return.

Kenyans had already started to raise concern on why the billionaire was a free agent when the government has announced a crackdown on drugs business. A top detective told Standard on Saturday that Punjani is back into the country but he is yet to be arrested.

“As far as I know, Punjani is around here. We even know where he is living,” said a top detective in Nairobi yesterday who added that “he entered Kenya by private car through Lungalunga border last week.”

The detective claimed that the tycoon jetted back into the country through Dar es Salaam.

Another source also confirmed that Punjani is back. However, the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, also refused to disclose the location of the billionaire.  “I can confirm to you that he is in Mombasa but I will not tell you exactly where he is.”

The tycoon has been on the DCI radar for months after it emerged that he is one of the top suspected drug dealers in the nation.

On August, 3, police raided his home in search for drugs while he was away in India to seek for treatment.
