Currently, Uhuru is struggling to regain authority in cabinet with divisions emerging daily over the ongoing 2022 succession politics which have literally made the government dysfunctional.

An assassination letter purportedly written by a cabinet minister has elicited sharp divisions with a section of DP Ruto's handlers insisting that the assassination plot against him is real.

So far, guns have shifted to DP Ruto's doorstep with Dennis Itumbi, a Communication Director, who is closely associated with Ruto, thrown behind bars over the letter.

“Politics is about perception, and in the eyes of the general public the Cabinet is not functional,” said Mr Keynan.“There is no sense of collective responsibility.”

“I believe that his speaking out would calm the situation and offer some sense of direction in the confusion we are seeing in the country’s politics,” said Mr Kositany.

Nandi Governor Stephen Sang said Uhuru should also consider sacking four ministers linked to DP William Ruto's alleged assassination plot which is currently being investigated.

“The President should have sacked the Cabinet Secretaries mentioned in the alleged scheme against the DP as investigations continue,” said Mr Sang.

Despite the pressure to dissolve or reshuffle cabinet, Uhuru has defiantly remained mum, only choosing to concentrate on service delivery.
