The Senate’s County Public Accounts and Investment Committee had this week asked the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to investigate Garissa over the loss of funds.
The committee on Tuesday asked Garissa Governor Ali Korane to explain how public money was used in the county.
The committee further questioned irregular payments made and why development projects initiated by the county worth millions of shillings had stalled.
Governor Korane was also questioned on how tenders were being awarded and why different projects in the county lacked completion dates.
