[Photo|Musyi FM]At least 36 people sustained serious injuries on Tuesday following an accident at Maanzoni area, Machakos County.This is after the mini-bus (belonging to Sema Sacco) they were traveling in veered-off the road landing in a ditch along Nairobi-Mombasa road.The driver of the public service bus was avoiding a head-on collision with an oncoming salon car according to the Machakos Division Traffic Police Boss Abdinassir Harun.He noted victims had been rushed to various hospitals for medication, including Machakos Level 5 Hospital.The accident comes barely four days after 37 people perished in a grisly road accident at Migaa area in Nakuru county on December 31. 18 others were seriously injured.
The government has since banned night travels for long distance passenger vehicles through the NTSA and Traffic Department.
