Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has lauded Langalanga secondary school for performing well in the 2019 KCSE exams.
Speaking at the school on Wednesday during a thanksgiving meeting, Governor Kinyanjui said his administration was proud of the school.
He said the county government will issue the school with a bursary to cater for needy students.
"This year the county government will give Langalanga Secondary school bursary of Sh240,000 to support needy students,” he said.
The school was among top performers in the county, with a mean score of 7.5, with 160 students out of 222 who sat the exams at the school set to join university.
While commending Langalanga for the good performance, Kinyanjui said the school is now a model institution in the county.
He assured the school management that his administration will continue partnering with the school, to ensure better quality of education for students.
Governor Kinyanjui urged parents to collaborate with schools in ensuring success in the education sector.
“Parents must actively demonstrate the importance of education by getting actively involved in education and school matters,” he said.
