The legislator, who was commenting on claims of MPs and Cabinet Secretaries being sent to represent President Uhuru Kenyatta at functions attended by DP Ruto, pointed out that the move was to make it look like the DP was not in good terms with the head of state.

He further termed State House's silence on the matter as unfortunate and went ahead to urge President Uhuru to address the allegations that his relationship with Ruto was deteriorating.

“All these are done from Harambee House by the people we all know just to embarrass the DP and to portray him as a man who is no longer in talking terms with the President. It is unfortunate that State House has opted to watch from a distance hence complicating the confusion,” Koech stated.

The Belgut MP believes that it is high time the president made tough decisions for the sake of the country.

“It is unfortunate that we find ourselves in this situation. The country is crying out for the President’s attention. We are at a point where the President should step in and make those painful decisions for this country to make progress,” he added.
