Former TV presenter Esther Arunga has been sentenced to 10 months on parole after she confessed to lying to an Australian court.
Esther Arunga revealed that she had lied to investigators probing the murder of her son in order to protect her husband Quincy Timberlake from going to Jail.
The ruling which was made today (Thursday) comes almost five years after her three-year-old son was murdered by her husband.
She had earlier told the investigators that her son had died as a result of a fall. An autopsy report, however, indicated that the late Sinclair Timberlake died as a result of being hit by a blunt object.
In her confession, Esther Arunga revealed that her husband had hit their son in an attempt to cast out demons out of him.
She admitted that Quincy had been mentally ill prior to the incident that led to the death of their son.
Quincy Timberlake's mother Rosemeg Wambita has criticised the former TV presenter following her confession, accusing her of lying about the circumstances that led to the death of Sinclair.
"That is a lie. I don't understand what she means since she is the one who said that their son did not die at the hands of her husband. Where was she all this time..? It is a lie. I don't understand it," she said.
