Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed has said that Jubilee is no more.
Speaking during an interview with KTN's PointBlank on Wednesday, Junet said that the current twist of events in Jubilee clearly shows that the leaders are no longer speaking in one voice. He noted that it is hard for the members to redeem themselves before 2022, adding that Deputy President William Ruto's allies are partly to blame for the division.
"Jubilee is dead. If it is not dead then it is on a life-supporting machine," he said.
During the interview, Junet said that resident Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Amolo Odinga are committed to the handshake. He noted that the greatest desire of the two leaders is transforming this nation into a better one.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga are looking at the long-term vision of the country. But there is a group in the country who think the world is ending in 2022 and to stop the world from ending Ruto must become President," he added.
On the claims of being biased during the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), Junet said that he was misunderstood by the allies of Ruto. He argued that the event brought together all Kenyans.
"If you look at the attendance of Bomas, all the party leadership of this country was all there, That was a historic moment for this country," he said.
