Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has launched a patient queuing system at Mama Lucy Kibaki hospital.
This is one of the best facility in the county that serves hundreds of people.
In a video of the launch shared on Facebook page Friday, Sonko said;" I am very happy to join you today for the launch of patients queuing system at MLKH. The hospital serves hundreds of Nairobians and attend around 850 patients and has a capacity of 134 beds."
The governor highlighted on what it has taken to achieve the digital facility citing the funds dedicated towards its service.
He stated that this year, the county has dedicated 21 per cent of its annual budget to the health sector.
Sonko also assured the people that his administration is in the process of partnering with the national government and the World Bank to implement the Inua Mama free maternity programme
"Nairobi county government has made a lot of efforts to support the health sectors and this year we have dedicated 21% of the county annual budget to implement the Inua mama free maternity program and world bank THS-VCP projects that have ensured flow to support health services," he noted.
Sonko praised the state-of-art at the hospital pointing out how it has greatly benefited in health funds.
The hospital now has a fully fledged TB clinic and oxygen plant.
