Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has received Sh3.9 million from the government.
This comes just a day after FKF President Nick Mwendwa accused Sports PS Kirimi Kaberia of frustrating their efforts to the point of making them contemplate pulling out Harambee Starlets from the 4th round of 2020 Tokyo Olympic qualifiers.
The match against Zambia is slated for 8th November in Nairobi.
In a presser to media houses, FKF CEO Barry Otieno acknowledged having received the money that will help prepare the Starlets after concerted meetings with the Cabinet Secretary for Sports Ambassador Amina Mohamed.
"The government through the national sports fund has released Sh3.9 million to the federation," stated Otieno.

The CEO emphasized that the money is part of its Sh17 million budget request by the federation that was aimed at preparing Harambee Stars CHAN 2020 fixture against Tanzania and that he hopes the ministry will enhance continued support of both women and men national teams.
Consequently, Harambee Starlets are expected to report at the residential training camp at Sports Kenya, Stadion hotel on Thursday ahead of the Zambia clash.
