Emerging details indicate that a group of not less than five persons made the plot, among them an ex-husband to a Nakuru MP, arrangements that began three months prior.

Detectives have established that the plot was hatched in the same house in Kitisuru Estate, where his body was on Friday found dumped in a septic tank after weeks of search.

It appears that his wife, Sarah Kamotho, was uneasy about his divorce pursuit, afraid that it would take away her admirable lifestyle before he approached the MP's ex-hubby.

The police believe that he proposed that they get a team of assassins to clear the job, which was realized and paid Sh400,000. The killers were from Nakuru and Nairobi.

The four reportedly lured the established golfer to his death, which Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti says was painful and gruesome.

“When I say it is gruesome, it is gruesome,” he said. And while Ms Kamotho had been in custody for months, with the police now after the said assassins and the remaining suspects.

It has also emerged that the late Cohen was living in fear for his life during the last days of his life, as he told his friend and former Gatundu North  MP Patrick Muiruri.
