Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho has once again found himself under criticism over claims of undermining Deputy President William Ruto.
This comes two days after he allegedly reported the DP to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) over harassment claims.
Speaking on Saturday, former Makadara MP Bernard Mutura lashed out at the PS, who has also been accused of withdrawing regional state bosses from attending Ruto's functions, for disrespecting and undermining the DP.
He pointed out that Kibicho's numerous clashes with the DP are proof of his disrespect and frustration attempts, which he said should not be coming from a junior.
The ex-parliamentarian who is a Jubilee Party member also accused the PS as ungratefulness, pointing out that he has turned against a man who has partially contributed to his fortune.
"As what is Kibicho undermining the Deputy President? He is at work thanks to joint efforts by the Deputy President and the President (Huyu PS Kibicho anaundermine Deputy President kama nani? Hii kazi amepata kwa sababu ya joint effort ya Deputy President na Rais)," he said.
He made the remarks during an interview on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show on Saturday morning.
He also delved into Kibicho's alleged complainants to the DCI, accusing him of politicizing his fights with Ruto.
"Now you are claiming that your life is being threatened, you are politicizing the issue (Sasa unazungumza eti maisha yako inatishiwa, wewe unaleta siasa)," he added.
Speaking on Friday, Kibicho denied reporting the DP, saying that he was equally shocked by the reports.
He was recently under fire from Ruto's allies for allegedly withdrawing local police bosses from his functions, as is constitutionally required.
In his response, he termed it Ruto's responsibility to notify his (Kibicho) office of his plans to be accorded the reception he desires.
