A 17-year-old teenager from Bristol has suffered serious damage to his eyesight after consuming lots of chips, sausages crisps for over seven years.
The unnamed teenager reportedly started eating junk food after he left primary school and would not anything else.
A medical report found that the damage to his vision was triggered by a deficiency of vitamins which are important for good eyesight.
According to Dr Denize Atan who took care of the teenager said that the boy developed an aversion to certain textures of food and would, by and large, eat french fries and crisps.
His diet was essentially a portion of chips from the local fish and chip shop every day. He also used to snack on crisps - Pringles - and sometimes slices of white bread and occasional slices of ham, and not really any fruit and vegetables.
"He explained this as an aversion to certain textures of food that he really could not tolerate, and so chips and crisps were really the only types of food that he wanted and felt that he could eat." Dr Denize Atan said according to the British Broadcasting Corporation.
Thanks to his fussy eating, the boy suffered an extreme loss of minerals in his bones, a loss that doctors say is shocking for a boy of his age.
