Speaking on Tuesday at  Gesere Primary School in Nyaribari Chache Constituency, the MP said she is currently focusing on delivering the promises she made to locals adding that she is not interested in Ruto's Tanga Tanga politics.

“I am fully supporting our party leader Raila Odinga as well as the handshake and its outcome and I won’t try to entertain any of the Tanga Tanga moves. I am not aware if he will be here and I don’t want to be involved as I don’t support him as currently, I'm working hard to deliver to my constituents,” said Ongera.

Ong'era called on other leaders from the region to ensure that they focus and forget about 2022 politics and deliver the promises they had pledged to the electorate in 2017.

Her sentiments come at a time a section of Gusii leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto is preparing to welcome him in Kisii on Thursday.

Dp Ruto will be attending a graduation ceremony at the Gusii Institute of Technology.
