The 156-page document was released last month, with a list of suggestions proposed by the BBI taskforce, seeking to solve the nation's recurrent leadership and social issues.

To make it easier for the public to understand the details, the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga-led team has picked top lawyers, party officials and academicians to break it down.

Party National Chair John Mbadi confirmed that the job has begun, and is expected to be completed by the end of the year, after which ODM will embark on publicizing the document.

“We have a team that is breaking down the document for easy consumption. The report will be taken to the relevant party organ,” the Suba South lawmaker said on Monday.

The committee members include party executive director Oduor Ong'wen, Joseph Simekha, Koitalel Ole Kina and Isaiah Kindiki, brother to Senator Tharaka Nithi Kithure Kindiki.

Mbadi said that the team has been deployed to only solely the report and nothing else, after which it will be published into booklets and availed for the public at party offices.

“This is just breaking down the report in the manner it can easily be understood and nothing more," he added.

Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta are the founders and force behind the implementation of the report, and appear to have suppressed the opposition it was facing from the Deputy President William Ruto camp.

It proposes among others, gender equality in county leadership positions, creation of a powerless Prime Minister post and formation of an independent health commission.
