Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Wednesday continued with his reconciliatory tone, calling for forgiveness amongst Kenyans.
Known for his sober approach to politics, Kalonzo insisted that Kenya remains one nation as he sent his Christmas message.
"As we spend this Christmas with our loved ones may we reflect on the goodness of our Lord and the challenges we have overcome. Let us seek to forgive and understand one another for we are one people, one Kenya. Merry Christmas," he said.
Kalonzo has been drawn into controversy recently, with former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama claiming that he was about to form a coalition with DP William Ruto.
The former Vice President was Raila Odinga's running for 2013 and 2017 polls, failing to win the presidency in both occasions.
Recently, Kalonzo said he would support President Uhuru Kenyatta's camp in 2022 polls, ending speculations about a possible alliance with DP William Ruto.
“I have made a resolution that I and the Kamba community are not flip-flopping and where Uhuru will be even after 2022, we will be there,” said the former vice president.
He added: “We are now engaging everybody as a free gear. But our true direction is to support Uhuru. I have not spoken to Raila of late but I know his support for Uhuru till he finishes his term has not changed.”
