Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has weighed in on Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement leader Alfred Mutua’s declaration that be will launch his presidential bid in 2020.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Kabogo asked Mutua not to rush into doing things until he gets his cards right.
“Relax. This is a big league. (Ndugu tuliza ball hii ni league Kubwa)" he tweeted.
In response, Mutua said that gone are the days when a few Kenyans would decide who leads the country.
He insisted that his presidential dream is valid.
The Machakos Governor said that it takes courage to go for the top seat.
“Exactly Ndugu yangu Kabogo & that is why I will be playing in it & by God’s Grace will WIN. The days of a few dictating for the rest of Kenyans zimepita. Success goes to the courageous who stick their necks out. The voters are Wananchi & they elect & REJECT leaders. Hio UNAELEWA( Have you understood that)” he tweeted
Earlier on, Mutua had said that he is prepared to lead this nation.
The Governmennt Spokesperson said that he will hit the ground running as the new year starts.
“I will officially launch my CAMPAIGN to be the next PRESIDENT of Kenya in 2022. I will show Kenyans that it is possible for a child to be born in the villages, to dream, work hard with a pure heart and achieve his or her dream,” he tweeted.
