The Mombasa Building Bridges Initiative rally scheduled on Saturday is purely for the coastal people. Already, uncertainty has surrounded the forum, following declaration by a section of leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto that they will attend the rally.
But Governors Hassan Joho (Mombasa), Amason Kingi (Kilifi), Dhadho Godhana (Tana River) and Granton Samboja (Taita Taveta) on Thursday declared Saturday's rally at Tononoka is purely a Coast affair.
"This is a golden opportunity for Coast people to have their problems addressed. Others should wait for their chance in their regions," declared Kingi.
"You can't come to one's house and go to the kitchen to serve yourself food," said Samboja.
This is a total contrast of Joho's earlier sentiments that the meeting is open to all Kenyans who are willing to attend.
On Friday, at least 15 people per ward from all six counties on the coast will meet to outline a proposal to the BBI team.
Ruto's team has been viewed as anti-BBI team, although they have persistently denied the claims during public rallies.
Senator Kipchumba Murkomen said the Tangatanga brigade will be in Mombasa for the rallies, adding that more complimentary rallies will be held in future by the team.
