President Uhuru Kenyatta is committed to uniting the nation before he completes his second and final term in government, State House spokesperson Kanze Dena has said.
Speaking during an interview at Hope FM on Tuesday morning, Dena said President Kenyatta has put in place measures to ensure the country is united before he retires.
She said the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) is on course, adding that difference in political views is not a reason for Kenyans to be divided.
"The Building Bridges Initiative has given us an opportunity to work together as Kenyans. This is why the President is passionate about uniting this nation. We might be different in our political views but we remain Kenyans," she said.
Dena noted that President Kenyatta is ready to work together with other leaders to ensure that the nation realizes the Big Four Agenda before he leaves office.
She reiterated that unless Kenyans support Uhuru, he will not achieve much at the end of the day.
"We will develop a better, prosperous country when we unite and work together as one people, as Kenyans. We won't be able to fully transform our nation overnight because it is a process but with dedication and the right mindset we will get there,” she opined.
