Former Jubilee Party Deputy Vice Chair David Murathe has lashed out at politicians riding on the hustler narrative ahead of the much anticipated 2022 elections.
In a Facebook post, Wednesday, the former Gatanga Member of Parliament termed the narrative nonsensical, claiming that the users of the narrative are big conmen.
According to Murathe, the narrative is being used by alleged thieves of public coffers whom he said have mercilessly embezzled public coffers belonging to Kenyans.
"Those talking about the "hustler nation nonsense" are the biggest conmen in this country. They have looted and embezzled public funds mercilessly," he said.
Murathe wondered why they only remember about Kenyans are hustlers now that they are in need of their votes.
"They only know that Kenyans are hustlers when they are in need of votes," he added, in an apparent shot at Deputy President William Ruto and his group of allies.
He had not been in good political terms with the DP since January this year when he cautioned him against expecting an automatic backing from the Mt Kenya region in his 2022 bid.
Consequently, Murathe had been in the centre of bashing from Ruto's allies and has since announced that he will do his best to ensure that he scuttles Ruto's presidential ambitions.
