Deputy President William Ruto has insisted that his track record speaks for itself.
Speaking during an interview with NTV on Thursday at his Karen Home in Nairobi, Ruto said that he has done his best in every docket he has been given. He noted that his record dates back to the time he was a Member of Parliament for Eldoret North.
"My friend I have a track record. A solid track record from Eldoret North where I was a member of Parliament if you go today to Eldoret North they will tell you the Member of Parliament that turned around that constituency and removed all schools that were built of mud and changed the whole infrastructure in Eldoret North Constituency they have a story to tell you, he said.
Ruto also said that during his tenure as Agriculture Cabinet Secretary, he paid all the debts and ensured that coffee prices were appealing to the farmers.
"As a minister of Agriculture my footprints in the ministry as all over from sorting coffee issues from sorting debt issues under my watch we pay Sh2 billion to the coffee sector," he added.
He also said that he ensured that period students take to join university after completing their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) was reduced. He further said that he was committed to transforming the education sector through technical institution among others.
"From my ministry of higher education for your information for fifteen years in this country if you finished form four you had to wait for two years to go to university, I sort that problem as minister for higher education, he posed.
