In a tweet, Etale took a swipe at the ruling party over its double standards when it comes to leaders who breach the law.

Etale wondered why some leaders affiliated to government condemned the arrest and prosecution of Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who had broken the law. However, no one had sought justice for NASA supporters who were killed while protesting election rigging in 2017 and individuals murdered in the past over their political stand.

"So the rule of law and constitutionalism should only apply to Moses Kuria who is arrested for punching a LADY and not the many NASA supporters who were brutally killed as they protested stolen election! What about Chris Musando and Jacob Juma and Baby Pendo among others?"wondered Etale.

The ODM official's sentiments were in agreement with the city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdulahi's position.

The vocal lawyer had blamed the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga for making Jubilee change its attitude towards the rule of law.

"JUBILEE was the party for the RULE of LAW and CONSTITUTIONALISM...until it met the HANDSHAKE and BBI...the rest is History," Abdullahi tweeted.

The Senior Counsel was making his assertions after the government failed to honour the court calling on it to facilitate the return of the controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna who was deported to Canada in 2018.
