In a Facebook post on Monday, Wambugu sarcastically claimed that if the current media reports that the second in command is not happy with early campaigns.

In what can be claimed to a reference to the current BBI forums, the MP insinuates that Ruto believes the leaders are using the same to campaign for 2022 elections in the pretence of serving national issues.

He mocked the fact that the DP was using insults complaining about early campaigns when he was doing the same.

"Deputy President William Ruto unhappy with early campaigns. If we are to believe the media this morning, our Deputy President William Samoei Ruto is very unhappy that people seem to be campaigning while pretending to be doing national issues, and then going on and using insults while at it! Life is a circle, no?" he posted.

On Sunday, Ruto lamented that some leaders are using the forums to hurl insults at him. He asked the leaders to wait until 2022 before they can start attacking them.

Ruto said that it is clear that the leaders want to use the report to blackmail him as he seeks to succeed President Kenyatta upon completion of his second term in power.
