Addressing the media on Sunday, Kalonzo said that he cannot retire at the age of 65 when leaders such as Raila Amolo Odinga and Kivutha Kibwan are still in the political scene.

The Wiper Party leader argued that time has come for him to rise to the nation's top seat and not retire. He reminded the Ukambani Governors that he will not be swayed by their threats to dethrone him from the seat until his Presidential dream comes true.

The Former vice president reiterated that he is in a good position to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"Kibwana is very older than me, Raila is very old than me and very tired and I think he might want to give it a stab. I am not even 68 my friend. How do you retire when you know your time has come? The time has come, the time has come to take on the leadership of this country,' he argued.

On Friday, Mutua had asked Kalonzo and Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama to pave way for visionary leaders to guide the community. He opined that the two leaders are done politically speaking.

"These two leaders - Hon Kalonzo Musyoka and Hon. Johnstone Muthama do not speak for the Kamba community but for themselves and their own PERSONAL interests," he said.
