According to the activist, BBI will weaken the country's constitution.

"Any politician or even Kenyan supporting BBI is a fool. BBI is going to entrench political dynasties. Why would you support Raila and Uhuru's selfish ambitions? BBI is an attempt to water down our constitution and create positions for Uhuru and Raila. Our constitution is enough, " Boniface Mwangi's barbed tweet read.

The BBI report was launched to the public on November 27, 2019, by President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Bomas of Kenya, a launch that was graced by Mr Odinga, the Deputy President William Ruto and other dignitaries.

Kenyans are in the process of reading the BBI report before reaching a decision on whether to implement it or not.

On December 11, 2019, President Kenyatta extended the BBI taskforce's term so that they can steer the next phase in January 2020 which will be public participation.
